Elasticsearch Consultant

This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a strong understanding of Elasticsearch and its applications. You will work closely with our development and IT operations teams to deliver Elastic solutions that drive customer business value. Your expertise will be essential in designing, deploying, and integrating Elastic products and APIs, as well as monitoring performance metrics and optimizing configurations for scalability and efficiency.

• Configure and manage Elasticsearch clusters, including templates, indices, shards, and nodes.
• Monitor Elasticsearch performance metrics and optimize configurations for scalability and efficiency.
• Implement and maintain Logstash pipelines for data ingestion, transformation, and enrichment.
• Data modelling, query development, and optimisation, cluster tuning, and scaling with a focus on fast search and analytics at scale.
• Set up and manage Kibana dashboards, visualizations, and alerts to provide actionable insights.
• Collaborate with the development and IT operations teams to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Elastic Stack components.
• Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with best practices and regulatory requirements.
• Develop and maintain documentation related to Elastic Stack configurations, processes, and procedures.

• Australian Citizen – eligible for security clearance.
• Elastic Product practical experience and/or current Elastic Certification.
• Hands-on experience with Elasticsearch and/or Lucene.
• Hands-on experience in on-prem systems and/or public/private cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, GCP, Openstack.
• Hands-on experience in Linux.
• Knowledge of information retrieval and/or analytics domain.
• Strong customer advocacy, relationship-building, and communications skills.
• Excel at working directly with customers to gather, prioritise, plan, and execute solutions to customer business requirements as it relates to our technologies.
• Experience working as a consultant, working to deliver and execute on professional services engagements.
• Experience as a Software Engineer, System/Network Administrator, or DevOps Engineer.
• Good understanding of networking, security, containerization, serverless, DevOps in distributed system landscapes, and infrastructure automation knowledge.
• Experience utilising programming or scripting languages in a corporate environment like Python, Javascript, Go or Chef/Puppet, etc.
• Understanding of databases.
• Understanding and passion for open-source technology and knowledge and proficiency in at least one programming language.
• Desirable to have two unique customer case studies specific to completed Elastic consulting projects.
