Job Title: Medical Science Liaison - Neurology Specialist

At Eli Lilly, we are seeking a highly skilled Medical Science Liaison to join our team in Victoria/Tas/SA. As a Medical Science Liaison, you will play a critical role in facilitating scientific exchange between industry and the scientific community, shaping the future of healthcare by providing needed information that addresses important clinical and scientific questions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and effectively communicate deep scientific knowledge in the field of neurology, engaging in continuous learning to stay up-to-date with the latest developments and advancements.
  • Excel at customer engagement, providing deep and advanced disease state and product information to scientific experts, and connecting them with other Lilly resources or internal business partners as appropriate.
  • Strategic vision and leadership, synthesizing complex data and communicating meaningful clinical insights and unanswered customer questions to Lilly medical and cross-functional teams.
  • Territory ownership, demonstrating strategic analysis, planning, and prioritization to maximize efficiency, and executing the role in a compliant manner, adhering to all governing internal and external requirements, procedures, and laws.
Requirements:
  • Previous MSL experience or field-based experience building relationships with scientific experts and key opinion leaders is highly desired.
  • Advanced degree in health sciences (PhD, PharmD, or MD in a medically related field) is required, with 2-3 years of relevant clinical or therapeutic area experience.
  • Intellectual curiosity about the field of science/medicine for which they are responsible, learning agility to comprehend and effectively communicate large amounts of complex scientific content, and self-directed ability to work alone in the field, effectively managing multiple priorities and projects.
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills, including high emotional intelligence and the ability to engage in professional relationship building and networking, advanced presentation and computer skills, and effective strategic and critical thinking.
