Senior Finance Manager Role

This is a key position within the organisation that requires an experienced finance professional to lead the financial management and reporting requirements of the Local Health District.

The successful candidate will have expertise in financial management, statutory compliance, and reporting, as well as strong leadership skills to direct the General Ledger, Taxation, Restricted Financial Assets, and Assets Accounting functions of Finance.

Main Responsibilities
  • Directly contribute to the achievement of organisational objectives by leading the Finance team to meet its financial management, statutory, and reporting requirements.
  • Provide strategic advice and support to stakeholders across the District and Finance, defining the strategic direction and business goals of the Finance team.
Key Requirements
  • A relevant tertiary qualification in accounting, finance, economics, commerce, or business, with full membership of an Australian professional accounting body.
  • Demonstrated expertise in financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders.
