About the Role

The Tiwi Land Council is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Quarantine & Biosecurity Officer. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the protection of our land, sea, and environment, while supporting sustainable economic development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake inspections of cargo, vessels, and passengers to ensure compliance with biosecurity policies and legislation.
  • Review documentation for imported and exported goods to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Provide guidance and support to travellers on biosecurity requirements and risk items.
  • Conduct surveillance and assurance activities to identify and mitigate biosecurity risks.
  • Develop and deliver training sessions on biosecurity risks and best practices.
  • Respond to and manage significant biosecurity threats in a timely and effective manner.
