Director of Strategic Governance

Key Role:
We are seeking a visionary leader to join our board, bringing expertise in organisational governance and strategic insight into the not-for-profit sector.
As a Volunteer Director, you will provide strategic oversight and governance of our operations, contributing to board discussions with independence and integrity. You will support our mission, values and strategic priorities, ensuring compliance with legal, financial and risk management responsibilities.
Core Responsibilities:
- Strategic leadership and guidance on our operations and impact.
- Contribution to board discussions with insight and independence.
- Support for the organisation's mission, values and strategic priorities.
- Compliance with legal, financial and risk management responsibilities.
- Championing diversity, inclusion and innovation in volunteering.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge in organisational governance.
- Appropriate qualifications or equivalent experience in governance, leadership, finance, law, policy or related fields, with AICD or ICDA qualifications highly preferred.
- Strategic insight into the not-for-profit, community or other volunteering sectors.
- Ability to think critically and engage collaboratively.
- A values-aligned approach to leadership and decision-making.
