Welder - Wheel Repair Technician

We are seeking a skilled welder to join our team at Bridgestone Earthmover Tyres Pty Ltd.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring equipment and tools are in sound functional order and responding promptly to rectify damage or wear to the wheels of our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot wheel damage.
  • Ensure all equipment used on site meets operational requirements and enables work to be carried out safely.
  • Inspect every wheel after each process stage of repair to ensure compliance with our Quality Management System.
  • Conduct risk assessments and reviews prior to commencing any work task outside of identified Safe Work Method Statements.
  • Accurately complete required documentation.

Requirements:

  • Appropriate trade qualifications in welding/heavy fabrication.
  • Forklift licence (LF) or ability to obtain.
  • Strong commitment to safety of yourself and others.
  • Fit and able to carry out manual labour requirements.
  • Punctual, reliable, and a team player with a can-do attitude.
  • Government issued Covid-19 vaccination certificate.
  • Current work rights in Australia.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional qualifications or certificates such as submerged arc welding, handling hazardous materials, painting, boiler operation, drill operation, grit blasting, etc.
  • Valid driver's licence (HR preferred).
