Lead Psychiatrist Role

As a Lead Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for overseeing the Adult Mental Health ED and Inpatient teams at a major hospital. This is an exciting opportunity to lead high-quality psychiatric services and clinical leadership in a dynamic health service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve patient outcomes and team performance.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver evidence-based care and promote professional development.
  • Adhere to role provisions as per the Mental Health Act 2016, including timely completion of required reports.
  • Foster education, quality improvement, evidence-based practice, and reflective feedback and learning within the team.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in psychiatry and excellent leadership skills. If you are passionate about delivering high-quality care and leading teams, this could be the ideal role for you.

Qualifications and Requirements
  • Demonstrate capacity to provide leadership in research, learning, and evaluation activity.
  • Provide supervision/teaching opportunities to junior medical staff and other professional staff.
  • Participate in professional development activities for all members of the multidisciplinary Mental Health team.
