Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at The Salvation Army Aged Care. This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of our care recipients and their families.
About the Role
In this role, you will provide clinical supervision and coordinate the delivery of safe, effective, and individualized care to our care recipients. You will be responsible for managing staff and physical resources, as well as assisting residents to lead an active and meaningful life as independently as possible.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete relevant documentation in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care needs of residents.
- Maintain good clinical records and accurate documentation to ensure legal adequacy and the completion of AN-ACC requirements.
- Order, manage, and administer medications in accordance with policy and procedures.
- Liaise with doctors and other health professionals and follow directions for administration of medications and treatments in accordance with legislative guidelines.
- Complete necessary reports, care plans, and other documentation required.
About You
To be considered for this role, we are looking for an individual who:
- Has a strong understanding, empathy, appreciation, and ability to promote the values and ethos of The Salvation Army.
- Is currently registered with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Has demonstrated aged care experience, the ability to work as part of a team, and promote education and leadership in aged care.
- Understands and commits to continuous quality improvement.
- Has experience in developing care plans.
- Has an understanding of Aged Care Quality Standards and Aged Care Funding Instrument (AN-ACC).
- Has demonstrated organizational and time management skills.
- Has well-developed computer and documentation skills.
- Has a National NDIS Workers Screening Check.

Salary
The estimated annual salary for this role is around $80,000 - $110,000, depending on your level of experience and qualifications.
