Senior Technical Resource Position

This role is part of a team responsible for providing operational third tier IT infrastructure maintenance and support.


Main Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with clients and management to ensure that agreed service levels and client service standards are achieved.
  • Manage infrastructure provisioning activities as part of the change management process.
  • Analyse, advise, recommend and plan maintenance upgrades or enhancements requests for the Departmental IT infrastructure.
  • Investigate and resolve technical issues to ensure reliable and available services.
  • Provide expert-level support and maintenance of the Departmental IT infrastructure.
  • Understand business drivers and contribute to client relationships by analysing client's infrastructure environments and making recommendations for improvement.
  • Develop and maintain procedures and guidelines to enhance the efficiency of ITS operations.
  • Participate in the design, implementation and evaluation of whole of Government IT related initiatives.
  • Deliver timely and focused network, problem and service management for IT services and facilities.
  • Offer guidance and support to junior engineers and support technicians on the appropriate use and support of technologies.
