As a Finance Business Partner, you will be working at the EL1 level, providing strategic financial direction and maintaining a direct line of communication to the CFO unit.

This is a consultative role with the prime objective being to build relationships between corporate and business lines to assist them in delivering their desired outcomes.

You will provide budgetary advice, financial accounting advice and operate as an advocate for the business line within the CFO unit and vice versa. As a finance business partner, you'll work with non-accountants to deliver monthly management reports.

The roles are open to engaging ongoing APS members at the EL1 level via an S26 transfer. Contract opportunities are also available for up to 12 months as a labour hire or non-ongoing employees.

The ideal candidate would have experience of budget management, ideally from within an APS environment. Strong communication skills, consulting with stakeholders and building relationships are essential for this role.

Accounting knowledge and experience are fundamental to this role, CA/CPA qualifications are highly regarded but not essential. Demonstrated experience within budgeting, forecasting and costing will provide the technical exposure to succeed in this role.

To be eligible for an S26 transfer, you must already be employed in the APS, at the APS6 or EL1 level. A current baseline or higher level of security clearance is also required.
