About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Fire Engineering Specialist to join our team at Arup. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who wants to make a difference in their career and contribute to delivering technically excellent fire safety outcomes tailored to our clients' needs.
Job Overview
The primary focus of this role is to work closely with senior members of the team to develop fire strategies, analyse design performance, and document outcomes to assist in project coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- This role includes being responsible for specific parts of an external design project;
- Authoring non-standard letters, reports, and other documentation may be required from time to time;
- Providing detailed technical input across a broad range of projects within the fire engineering business and related areas;
- Assisting in the preparation of fee proposals for small/medium-sized projects;
- Liaising with other disciplines within the region, providing particular expertise on fire engineering as appropriate;
Requirements and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Recognised relevant tertiary qualifications in Engineering, specialising in Fire Engineering or a similar area;
- A deep understanding of all legislative requirements and other regulations governing Occupational Health and Safety;
- Membership of relevant professional institutions/professional peer bodies or significant credit towards eligibility for membership;
- Registration with relevant engineering authority body;
- Relevant industry experience in Fire Engineering within a consulting business environment;

We estimate that the salary for this role will be approximately $85,000 - $120,000 per annum, depending on your level of experience and qualifications.
