Trainee Opportunity

We are partnering with a training company to offer a School-Based Traineeship for students.

This traineeship is designed to provide hands-on experience in a retail environment while working towards a Certificate II in Supply Chain Operations.

You will be based at our Plumbing Leongatha branch, where you will work alongside experienced staff and learn about customer service, stock management, and sales processing.

As a trainee, your responsibilities include:

  • Embracing key values and policies
  • Providing excellent customer interaction
  • Completing certificate requirements, including workbooks and on-the-job training
  • Processing sales and managing stock inventory
  • Answering phone calls and taking messages
  • Communicating with colleagues and customers
  • Building product knowledge and providing follow-up support to customers
  • Maintaining high standards of tidiness and organization in the workplace

To succeed in this role, you should possess:

  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • The ability to follow instructions and take direction
  • A positive attitude and enthusiasm for learning
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
  • A willingness to maintain a neat and tidy workspace

As a trainee, you will be required to work a minimum of one and a half days per week. You must also be available to work on Saturdays. Additional hours during school holidays are available and recommended to support your progress and development.

Working as part of a team, you will gain valuable experience in a real-world business setting. This opportunity will help you develop essential skills and knowledge in customer service, stock management, and sales processing.
