Research Scientist

Griffith University is seeking a highly skilled Research Fellow to join the Artificial Heart Frontiers Program (AHFP), a multi-institution partnership between academia and industry. The successful candidate will work within the Biorheology Research Laboratory at the Gold Coast campus, leading quality systems implementation, supervising device appraisal, and developing test systems to facilitate potential regulatory approval of novel technologies.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement quality systems to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Supervise device appraisal and testing to ensure safety and efficacy.
- Design and develop test systems to mimic realistic physiological-use scenarios.
- PhD or equivalent qualifications/work experience in Mechanical Engineering or a similar field.
- Experience working with medical devices or mechanical systems, including systems design, prototyping, validation, and data analysis.
- Knowledge of regulations and industry standards for medical device development, including ISO.

What We Offer:- Competitive salary range $84,000 - $99,000 per annum, plus 17% employer superannuation.
