Job Title: Skilled Metal Fabricator

We're seeking a skilled metal fabricator to join our team. As a key member of our production department, you'll be responsible for operating heavy machinery and ensuring high-quality results.

  • Operating heavy rollers and presses
  • Evaluating, understanding, and fabricating from technical drawings
  • MIG welding (bare and flux)
  • Operating various machines, including mag-based drill, punching shear, plasma cutting, flame-cutting, air carbon arc gouging, tube bender, and forklifts

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Identify areas for improvement and complete Non-Conformance Reports when required
  2. Maintain a clean and safe working environment
  3. Provide training to apprentices on correct work procedures

To succeed in this role, you'll need to have:

  • A Certificate III in Fabrication and Welding
  • Demonstrated experience in fabrication of structural steel and heavy plate work
  • Prior experience handling fabricated/welded structures
  • Prior experience with heavy pressing and rolling
