Electrical Support Technician

Seeking a skilled Electrical Support Technician to provide electrical and software support to factory operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in electrical maintenance, PLC programming, and fault finding.

This role requires flexible hours, including weekends, based on plant requirements. You will report to the Reliability Technician Manager and work closely with shift managers, providing technical input into Root Cause Analysis of technical faults.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in electrical maintenance, including broad knowledge of IT systems, industrial hardware, and control systems such as Schneider, Siemens, and Allen Bradley.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Report to and liaise with production on maintenance activities, including cause and expected time frames.
  • Provide technical input into Root Cause Analysis of technical faults.
  • Ensure all work does not impact on quality or safety systems.
  • Take additional responsibility for the electrical maintenance of a defined list of equipment.
  • Maintain high standards of accuracy, time management, and attention to detail.

Requirements:

  • Qualified electrician with additional qualifications or industry training in use of industrial control systems preferred.
  • Experience in PLC programming and fault finding.
  • Broad general knowledge of IT systems, including networks.
  • Broad knowledge of industrial hardware, including 3 phase motors, variable speed drives, pneumatics, hydraulics, and instrumentation.
