Job Description

As a Senior Financial Accountant, you will play a critical role in overseeing financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting. Your expertise will ensure compliance with legal and tax requirements, while providing financial insights to support business decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement financial strategies to drive business growth and profitability
  • Manage payroll and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
  • Lead and mentor the finance team to achieve exceptional results
  • Implement and maintain financial systems, including ERP software
  • Ensure compliance with statutory and regulatory obligations
  • Support audits, financial planning, and risk management
The Successful Applicant

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Financial Accountant with a strong background in not-for-profit, aged care, or health sectors. You will possess:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior financial role
  • CPA/CA qualification and proficiency in XERO and advanced Excel skills
  • Strong leadership, communication, and technical skills
  • Experience with Calxa software and Govt funding Acquittals, ACNC Annual reporting
  • Ability to work autonomously and lead a high-performing finance team
