About the Role

The State Government of Victoria, Australia is seeking a highly skilled and experienced P-8 Leading Teacher to join our team as a Campus Learning Community Leader. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and passionate educator to lead and manage the implementation of whole school improvement initiatives related to the school strategic plan and school priorities.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing a significant area or function within the school, with a high degree of independence, to ensure the effective development, provision, and evaluation of the school's education program. They will also be expected to make a significant contribution to policy development relating to teaching and learning in the school.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the implementation of whole school improvement initiatives related to the school strategic plan and school priorities.
  • Work with the Principal Class Team to assist with the development of individual and/or team performance and development plans for staff.
  • Work with the Principal Class Team to lead data curation and analysis for the improvement of student outcomes.
  • Lead a Professional Learning Community (PLC) whose purpose is to improve student engagement and outcomes, delivering high challenge, engaging, and stimulating curriculum.
  • Lead and manage staff performance and development.
  • Manage whole school curriculum delivery and standards thereof.
  • Work with Education Support staff relevant to the Stage of Learning to ensure the best outcomes for all students.
Requirements
  • Teachers currently registered or eligible for registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching and qualified to teach and/or have demonstrated experience in the curriculum area(s) specified for the position.
  • Provisional or full registration from the Victorian Institute of Teaching.
  • Ability to lead and manage a significant area or function within the school, with a high degree of independence.
  • Ability to make a significant contribution to policy development relating to teaching and learning in the school.
