Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst to join our Claims team. In this role, you will be responsible for building and maintaining high-quality tracking systems across the Claims transformation programme.

About the Role

This is a vital position in a high-profile programme, where you will develop an in-depth knowledge of claims data and test your analytical skills. You will work closely with finance, business intelligence, and analytics teams to translate business decision points into measurement methodologies.

Main Responsibilities

  1. Develop deep understanding of claims data dynamics in relation to end-to-end system with total economics in mind.
  2. Support timely and accurate population of tracking and provide high-quality actionable insight based on data.
  3. Conduct ad-hoc analysis and problem-solving, demonstrating a curious mindset, and produce high-quality presentations of analysis.
  4. Support creation of forecasts for programme benefits, ensuring impact of risks and opportunities on benefit trajectories is understood by delivery theme teams.
  5. Work with claims finance team to translate lead operational indicator tracking into P&L view and be receptive to input and feedback.
  6. Contribute to improvement of overall data quality and governance within Claims function.

Skills & Experience Required

  • GI and claims experience preferred but not essential.
  • Experience in finance or actuarial role advantageous but not essential; prior analytical experience desired.
  • Be proactive and tenacious, with good problem-solving skills and ability to think laterally.
  • Excellent Excel modelling skills with ability to translate and manage complex formulas and interrogate large datasets.
  • Effectively manage stakeholder expectations, with ability to articulate performance effectively at both summary and detailed levels.
