Empathetic Child Contact Facilitator

About the RoleWe are currently seeking casual Child Contact Workers to join our Wagga Wagga team. If you have a background working with children and young people, and are looking for a flexible and rewarding role, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality supervision for visits between children and/or young persons in care and their families. This involves ensuring the child's best interests are protected during contact, facilitating positive interactions between parents/participants and children/young persons, and building relationships through constructive contact visits.
Requirements- Demonstrated commitment to the safety and well-being of children and young people.
- Tertiary qualification or relevant experience in social welfare, psychology, education, or counselling.
- Current First Aid Certificate.
- Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and negotiation skills.
- Strong observational and report-writing skills.
- Understanding of child protection and mandatory reporting requirements.
- Knowledge of child development principles.
- Ability to remain impartial at all times.
- Capacity to risk-assess varying situations.
- Current driver's license, comprehensively insured vehicle, mobile phone, and access to a computer.
