Emergency Department Care Specialist

Your role is to manage emergency department patients under the direction of experienced consultants. You will work closely with hospital staff to ensure patient management is facilitated, including pathology requests, radiology bookings, and investigation results.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage emergency department patients under consultant guidance
  • Support team-based care as part of a FACEM-lead team
  • Carry out procedures within your capabilities and experience
  • Participate in a collaborative approach to delivering care, working with nursing staff, allied health professionals, and other clinicians
  • Document findings and complete relevant documentation
  • Contribute to after-hours and weekend rosters

The ideal candidate possesses excellent communication skills and can demonstrate clinical experience commensurate with registrar responsibilities. They should also have knowledge of ED settings and be an ACEM trainee.
