As a key member of our research institute, you will be responsible for developing a program of work that generates positive impact to industry, biodiversity, and local built environments.

Your expertise in plant science and horticulture will be essential in developing a program of research with unique and high-value outputs, including the growth and production of selected crops in protected and unprotected environments.

You will also be expected to make a distinguished contribution to the development, implementation, and promotion of research efforts, including publication in leading world-class journals.

Key Responsibilities:

* Develop a program of work that generates positive impact to industry, biodiversity, and local built environments
* Develop a program of research with unique and high-value outputs
* Make a distinguished contribution to the development, implementation, and promotion of research efforts

Requirements:

* A doctoral qualification in a relevant field
* A distinguished record of academic achievement of national and/or international standing
* Significant experience in and comprehensive knowledge of the plant science and horticulture field
* Track record of sourcing significant external funding
* Demonstrated ability to provide effective leadership and build people capability
* Demonstrated success in identifying, building, and maintaining strong partnerships, networks, and relationships

What We Offer:

* Continuing, full-time position
* Level E - AUD$193,758 pa (plus 17% superannuation)
