About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Urban Mobility Coordinator to join our team at Transurban. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and innovative environment where you will contribute to shaping the future of our cities and communities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain situational awareness of traffic conditions across our network, using advanced control systems to monitor and manage traffic flow on open roads and in tunnels.
  • Collaborate with field staff, emergency services, and your team to respond swiftly to incidents, containing the event and ensuring everyone's safety.
  • Develop and implement Incident Management and Traffic Management plans to ensure efficient and safe road operations when things don't go as planned.
  • Utilize your analytical skills to think creatively and find new ways to improve our processes, traffic management, and make recommendations for process improvements.
  • Provide real-time information on road conditions to stakeholders, the media, and our customers, ensuring they have a seamless experience on our roads.

Requirements:

  • Experience in a monitoring centre or operational environment.
  • Strong computer skills, analytical mindset, and a passion for new technology and systems.
  • Ability to work independently, be driven, resilient, and efficient, demonstrating confidence and professionalism in challenging situations.
  • Organized, decisive, and able to prioritize tasks effectively, managing multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
  • Excellent writing skills, able to create clear and concise reports that highlight essential details for smooth operation.
  • Familiarity with shift work and the ability to adapt to changing schedules.
