The Deputy Principal is a key member of the St Gabriel's School Executive team, responsible for the effective management of the school's operations. This leadership role involves leading daily teaching and learning activities, implementing the school's vision and mission, and contributing to the school's philosophy, aims, and objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Foster a culture of hope and service within the school community, empowering individuals to make a meaningful difference in the world.
  • Develop collaborative and positive relationships within and beyond the school community.
  • Provide a sound role model for teachers and staff as a senior teacher and administrator.
  • Hold delegated responsibility in the absence of the Principal.
Requirements
  • Thorough understanding of the mission of St Gabriel's and the charism of Blessed Edmund Rice.
  • Strong professional presence and an outstanding record as a teacher and educational leader.
  • Demonstrated positive leadership of staff and students.
  • Deep understanding of the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers and the NSW curriculum.
  • Ability to lead and implement the curriculum suited to the needs of St Gabriel's School students.
  • Postgraduate qualifications in inclusive/special education, leadership, or a relevant academic disciplinary field.
  • Highly organized, meticulous planner, with demonstrable initiative.
  • Current NESA accreditation.
  • Valid Working with Children Check.
