About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Training Strategy Lead to join our Copper SA team. As a key member of our training team, you will be responsible for driving the development and implementation of training initiatives across Copper SA.

Reporting to the Manager – Training, Copper SA, you will work closely with stakeholders across our four mining sites to identify and align training initiatives with our strategic objectives. Your expertise will be critical in developing key partnerships with stakeholders to leverage opportunities for integration and continuous improvement.

This role will play a key part in supporting the implementation of our Strategic Skills Plan and Diversity targets for Copper SA. You will work closely with the training team to create and deliver training programs and pathways that meet the needs of Copper SA into the future.

You will be responsible for maintaining a wide network, integrating functions, operations, and regions, and solving complex challenges to drive strong functional/asset integration across Copper SA. You will also be responsible for developing and socializing business cases for integrated training opportunities across Copper SA.

We are looking for a candidate with a strong understanding of operational training processes and compliance requirements. You will have proven experience in partnering with stakeholders to understand their requirements, design, and deliver win-win outcomes. You will also have demonstrated strong project management experience and a commitment to continuous improvement.

About You

We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about training and development and has a strong understanding of the BHP organisational structure. You will have a proven track record of navigating complex organisational change and driving targeted value in alignment with strategic direction.

You will be a strong communicator with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders across the business. You will also have a strong attention to detail and be able to provide progress reporting.
