Job Description:

As an Assistant Restaurant Manager, you will play a crucial role in the success of our restaurant. You will be responsible for assisting in leading and directing all facets of daily operations, including inventory management, financial efficiency, and guest experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing daily operations to ensure seamless delivery of service to guests.
  • Involvement in inventory management, including food, beverage, and merchandise.
  • Ensure financial and operational efficiency of the location while prioritizing guest satisfaction.
  • Oversee the hiring, training, and development of new staff members.
  • Coach and counsel existing staff and managers to promote whole-team success.
  • Participate in the weekly rostering process and time-management for hourly team members.
  • Maintain professional restaurant and team member image, including cleanliness, uniforms, and appearance standards.
  • Uphold restaurant safety, sanitation, and security standards at all times.
  • Ensure building, equipment, furniture, and fixtures are well-maintained.
  • Engage with local communities and maintain a safe and respectful work environment.

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years' management experience in a high-volume atmosphere (fast-casual dining experience preferred).
  • Excellent leadership and motivational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, listening, and communication skills.
  • Ability to resolve problems and communicate effectively with guests.
  • Attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Capacity to inspire teamwork through self-confidence, positive attitude, and enthusiasm.
  • Proficiency in basic computer technology, including POS systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong commitment to serving the community.
  • Acts with integrity and treats others with respect.
  • Familiarity with local liquor licensing laws and holding a valid RSA certificate.
  • Australian residency or current work visa.
