Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Manager of Economic Regulation and Pricing to lead our vital relationship with the Essential Services Commission of South Australia (ESCOSA) and the Department of Treasury and Finance (DTF).

About the Role
  • Oversight and development of regulatory proposals for ESCOSA to inform their determinations.
  • Strategic pricing approach that aligns with ESCOSA's revenue caps.

The Senior Manager will oversee engagement with ESCOSA while ensuring compliance with economic regulations and securing a sustainable revenue stream.

Key AccountabilitiesOrganisational Compliance:

Maintenance of the integrity of the Corporate Compliance Framework, including relevant legislation and ethical standards.

Team Leadership and Development:

Building and leading a collaborative team focused on achieving business goals, including setting clear performance objectives, providing timely feedback, building a culture of excellence, and ensuring safety and well-being in the workplace.

Stakeholder Relationships:

Establishment and maintenance of strong relationships with ESCOSA, DTF, customers, and community stakeholders.

Strategic Pricing and Policy Development:

Leadership of the development of pricing strategies and regulatory submissions to ESCOSA, ensuring alignment with SA Water's Strategic Plan and stakeholder feedback.

Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, Economics, or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge and experience in a regulatory environment and regulatory requirements.
  • Demonstrated analytical and commercial skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to negotiate outcomes and positively influence stakeholder relationships.
  • High-level financial expertise and commercial acumen.
  • Proven leadership of multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Substantial experience with revenue, pricing, and regulatory issues related to utility services.
  • Relevant postgraduate business qualifications.
