Job Description

The role of a School Psychologist involves working in primary and high schools to provide counselling and psychological assessment of students. This is a collegiate position that offers challenges and opportunities for growth and development.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Providing individual and group counselling services to students, including short term therapeutic interventions
  • Engaging with school staff and student support services to improve student learning and wellbeing outcomes
  • Administering cognitive, social, emotional and behavioural assessments of students, and reporting on the results of these assessments and interventions

Requirements:

  • General or Provisional Psychology Registration with the Psychology Board of Australia
  • Valid Working with Children Check clearance
  • Current and valid driver's licence and ability to travel between work sites
  • Australian citizenship or permanent residency
About the Role

As a School Psychologist, you will be an integral part of the Department's School Counselling Service. You will work closely with teachers, school executives and other support services to provide comprehensive support to students and their families.
