Job Description

The Cafe/Restaurant Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the restaurant's operations to ensure smooth day-to-day activities and driving success.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Create and manage staff schedules to guarantee adequate coverage during peak and off-peak hours.
  2. Maintain high standards of quality and consistency in food preparation and presentation.
  3. Develop and implement promotional activities to attract customers and increase sales.
  4. Oversee cash register operations, handle daily cash flows, and ensure accurate banking.
  5. May organise reservations, greet guests and help take orders when required.
  6. Address customer complaints and resolve any issues that arise in a professional manner.
  7. Build and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery and quality of goods.
  8. Monitor and control operational costs to maintain profitability, including labour and food costs.
  9. Foster a positive work environment by motivating staff and providing opportunities for career growth.
  10. Supervise and train waiting and kitchen staff on health, safety, and customer service practices.
  11. Ensure customer service standards are consistently met and exceeded through regular check-ins and providing memorable experiences.
  12. Collaborate with Chefs to plan and develop menus, including recommendations for new Vietnamese dishes and adjusting current menus as needed.
  13. Arrange and organise special events or functions at our venue.
  14. Promote our Vietnamese cuisine to customers.
