A competitive salary of AU$65,000 - AU$80,000 per annum awaits the successful Storesperson to join our team at Melbourne Airport.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Storesperson to join our dynamic team at Melbourne Airport. As a Storesperson, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely and efficient acceptance of inbound goods and stores destined for use in the catering area.

Main Responsibilities

  • Ensure goods required by the catering team are available on time and in the required quantities.
  • Verify delivered items meet acceptable hygiene and other specifications.
  • Manage stock levels in the store effectively to ensure space is available for incoming goods as required.
  • Maintain adherence to company policies regarding HACCP, QSAI, and WHS in accordance with Federal and State Government Regulations.
  • Colour code and stamp perishable items with acceptance dates.
  • Anticipate potential problems and take proactive measures to mitigate or manage them.
  • Promote effective relationships based on clear KPIs supported by regular reviews that drive ongoing process improvements.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Hold a high reach forklift license with prior experience preferred.
  • Demonstrate good knowledge of basic HACCP/Food Safety and QSAI requirements.
  • Possess a basic understanding of Halal policies and procedures desirable.
  • Exhibit good general knowledge of warehousing and storage procedures.
  • Display excellent Microsoft Office skills.
  • Show strong organizational skills.
  • Be prepared to undergo a National Police Check due to working in the Aviation Services industry.
  • Availability to work 38 hours/week is essential for this full-time permanent position.
