Job Title: Engineering Manager - Precontracts Team

We are seeking a highly skilled Engineering Manager to join our Precontracts Team, focusing on bids and tenders for major water infrastructure projects. As a Principal Contractor in the industry, our client is dedicated to delivering innovative solutions that shape the future of water management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the engineering aspects of bid and tender preparation for water infrastructure projects.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including design, construction, and commercial professionals, to develop winning proposals.
  • Review project specifications, technical requirements, and contractual obligations to ensure compliance and competitive positioning.
  • Oversee the development of project methodologies, risk assessments, and value engineering solutions.
  • Provide technical leadership and input on project feasibility, cost estimates, and resource planning.
  • Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies to ensure all technical aspects of bids meet expectations and standards.
  • Ensure alignment with the company's strategic goals and objectives during the pre-contract phase.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience as an Engineering Manager or similar role within the water infrastructure sector.
  • Strong background in bids and tenders for large-scale civil infrastructure projects.
  • In-depth knowledge of Australian water regulations and industry standards.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Temporary availability for up to 5 months.
