Job Summary:

Central Coast Council is seeking a skilled Construction Labourer to join our team in delivering construction projects, primarily in the roads and drainage field. As a key member of our in-house construction staff, you will be responsible for carrying out construction labouring duties, operating small plant and equipment, and ensuring compliance with WHS, EMS, and Risk Management Policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out construction labouring duties associated with the completion of roads, drainage, and concreting works
  • Operate small plant and equipment, including rollers, compaction equipment, electrical tools, levelling lasers, chainsaws, and concrete saws
  • Complete all tasks in adherence to WHS, EMS, and Risk Management Policies, initiatives on the worksite, and practices for the Unit

Requirements:

  • General Induction Card (White) for Construction Works or equivalent
  • Class C Drivers Licence
  • Traffic Controller Licence or willingness to obtain
  • Safe Work near Overhead Power Lines; or willingness to obtain

Working Conditions:

This role provides a commencing salary range of between $55.2k to $66.2k per annum dependent on skills and experience, plus a weekly allowance of % superannuation. Successful candidates may be required to undertake a course of vaccinations against Hepatitis A and B and Tetanus or demonstrate their immunity.
