Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join our team at John Holland Pty Ltd. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for coordinating on-site construction engineering activities to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Coordination: Coordinate and administer construction engineering activities to ensure compliance with project plans and specifications.
  • Budget Preparation: Assist with the preparation of site construction budgets and reports to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
  • Progress Monitoring: Monitor construction progress for adherence to programme and report to the Site Manager or Project Manager as required.
  • Design Improvement: Contribute to improvements to existing designs by analyzing data and implementing process enhancements.
  • Tender Management: Arrange and oversee the letting of tenders to secure the best possible outcomes for the project.
  • Financial Management: Demonstrate financial management skills and commercial acumen when making decisions that impact the project.
  • Work Assignment: Assign work and assist with reviews to ensure timely completion and high-quality results.
  • Risk Assessment: Execute working knowledge of contractual and legislation relevant to the project, including undertaking quantitative and qualitative safety, environment and quality risk assessment.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Analyze and use document and record management, progress and project performance reporting to inform decision-making.
  • Subcontractor Management: Demonstrate sound people management skills by managing work and performance of subcontractors.
  • Time Management: Utilize effective time management skills including sequencing of work and resource time management.
