Salary: $85,000 - $110,000 per year

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Quality Assurance Compliance Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality assurance and compliance, with experience in furniture materials and testing standards. The role involves setting the product compliance framework for different markets, partnering with designers/engineers on product risk assessment, and conducting in-house tests using various pieces of testing equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set Product Compliance Framework: Define test standards, test methods, and evaluation criteria for test results.
  • Test Planning: Schedule, cost manage, and follow up on results, as well as communicate to suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Product Risk Assessment: Partner with designers/engineers on FMEA involving product design and manufacturing.
  • In-House Testing: Conduct tests using various pieces of testing equipment and maintain equipment.
  • Certification: Apply for and renew product certifications in different markets based on market demand.
  • Communication: Educate internal stakeholders and suppliers on compliance regulation updates.
  • Quality Investigation: Support Quality Specialist and Quality & Compliance manager on quality investigation with testing evidence.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • 5+ Years Experience: Quality assurance and compliance role, preferably with demonstrable experience in furniture materials.
  • Legal Compliance Knowledge: Deep understanding of legal compliance requirements on furniture in different markets.
  • Testing Methods: Deep knowledge of testing methods on different furniture standards (e.g., EN/ISO/AU/NZ).
  • Root Cause Analysis: Strong root cause analysis skill, familiar with root cause analysis tools.
  • Technical Documents: Ability to read and interpret technical documents like product specification sheets.
  • Report Writing: Experience with report writing and ability to conduct simple data analysis.
  • Communication: Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach.
