Guest Service Specialist

This is a casual role for an individual with valid working rights.

Responsibilities include managing arrivals and departures, providing exceptional guest service, coordinating with housekeeping, reservations, and maintenance.

The ideal candidate will have impeccable grooming and presentation, excellent organization and time management skills, availability for shift work.

A unique experience awaits at our hotel, featuring new accommodation rooms and a restaurant in a heritage-listed building.

  • Managing Front Office and Food & Beverage operations
  • Providing excellent guest interactions

We are looking for a team player who can effectively manage multiple tasks and priorities. This includes maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organization, ensuring all guests receive exceptional service, and collaborating with colleagues to achieve common goals.

This role involves flexible scheduling, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays. You must be able to adapt to changing circumstances and remain calm under pressure.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage front office operations, including check-in/check-out procedures, room assignments, and guest communications
  2. Provide exceptional guest service, responding promptly to guest inquiries and resolving issues efficiently
  3. Collaborate with the housekeeping team to ensure high standards of cleanliness and organization
  4. Work closely with the reservations team to manage bookings and ensure seamless guest experiences
  5. Maintain accurate records and reports, using software applications as required

Requirements:

  • Experience: Previous experience in a similar role or customer-facing position
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong problem-solving abilities, and effective time management
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; tertiary qualifications desirable
  • Availability: Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
