About the Role
Selectability is currently seeking an experienced Compliance Officer to join our team in Mackay. This is a full-time position that plays a pivotal role in establishing best practice standards for consumers, older persons, and young persons.
The successful candidate will contribute to promoting adherence to regulatory standards, ensuring services meet or exceed industry standards. Key responsibilities include conducting compliance checks, educating leaders and employees on compliance processes, and sharing valuable information with the team regarding evidence and compliance.
This role requires effective communication, both internally and externally, fostering collaboration and understanding. Building strong relationships with various stakeholders is essential in maintaining the highest standards and compliance within the organisation.
Main Duties:
- Manage operational compliance for Mackay
- Complete compliance checklists
- Identify compliance gaps
- Support leaders to rectify identified gaps in compliance
- Educate leaders and employees in processes to ensure ongoing compliance
Workplace Health & Safety:
- Complete workplace checklists
- Identify and manage hazards
- Monitor incidents and actions are closed out
- Monitor local emergency evacuations and first aid officers
- Manage vehicle and property maintenance
Complaints:
- Manage consumer complaints
Key Requirements:
- Demonstrated experience in a similar role
- Understanding of NDIS, HSQF, National Mental Health, Child Safety (highly desirable)
- High level of attention to detail
- Passion for compliance and standards
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Commitment to best practice
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work autonomously
- Very strong administrative skills including intermediate level MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
Role Requirements:
- Travel to Selectability sites may be required
- CURRENT minimum P1 'C' class Queensland drivers licence
- Positive Notice Working with Children (Blue Card) (ability to obtain)
- NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (ability to obtain)
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module 'Quality, Safety & You'
