Academic Strategy Leader

This is a pivotal leadership role that provides strategic and operational guidance to senior leaders in higher education. As a key advisor, you will lead the coordination of academic and corporate governance activities, ensuring the delivery of key institutional priorities.
- You will serve as principal advisor to senior leaders on strategic, regulatory, financial and operational matters.
- Lead the coordination of governance activities, including preparation of high-level papers for peak committees and driving continuous improvement in governance systems and processes.
- Drive portfolio planning and performance reporting frameworks, including evaluation activities and delivery of strategic plans.
- Oversee financial management, compliance and reporting, ensuring strong governance and risk management practices.
- Lead a team of professionals, fostering a high-performing culture and delivering on ambitious university priorities.
- Demonstrated success in providing strategic and operational advice to senior leaders within a regulated sector.
- Deep understanding of governance and regulatory requirements, with knowledge of higher education principles.
- Proven ability to lead the coordination and delivery of complex strategies, programs and governance processes.
- Strong financial acumen, with experience overseeing budgets and resource management.
- Highly developed interpersonal, negotiation and influencing skills, with a track record of working collegiately with senior stakeholders to deliver shared outcomes.
- Demonstrated leadership capability with experience managing teams to deliver on ambitious university priorities.
