Early Childhood Education and Care Roles: A Rewarding Career

We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a Trainee Educator. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about working with children and making a positive impact in their lives.

As a Trainee Educator, you will play a vital role in supporting the education program in your room and contributing to a positive and inclusive work culture. You will be responsible for maintaining a safe environment for children, families, and team members, and complying with National Quality Standards (NQS) and Goodstart Policies, Procedures, and Requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish a nurturing environment that promotes the well-being and development of children
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with children and families, ensuring their needs are met and their voices are heard
  • Contribute to the education program in the room and centre team, providing support and guidance where needed
  • Support a culture of reflective practice and ongoing continuous improvement, identifying opportunities for growth and development

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Must not hold a previous Certificate or Diploma qualification completed outside of secondary school in the last 7 years
  • Applicants who have completed a school-based certificate other than in childcare will still be eligible
  • Willingness and motivation to study towards a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education & Care
  • A permanent right to work in Australia
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Good time management and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
  • Ability to work well individually and as part of a team, demonstrating empathy and understanding towards colleagues and clients
  • Enthusiasm and a positive attitude, with a passion for early years education and care
  • Flexible availability, with the ability to work varied shifts including evenings and weekends
  • Interest in early years education and care, with a desire to make a positive impact in the lives of children and families
  • Working with Children Check (or be willing to obtain one)
  • Proof of immunisation against Measles, Mumps, and Rubella and Whooping Cough (Pertussis) (or be willing to receive)
