About the Role

The Department is seeking an experienced Cardiologist Specialist to join the team on a full-time basis. To be considered for this position, candidates must hold the FRACP qualification.

About the Location

The location offers a thriving hub of activity in terms of tourism, nightlife, and retail. Staff enjoy a 10-minute bicycle commute to work along the foreshore, and traffic is virtually non-existent.

About the Facility

The principal tertiary hospital in the region provides a broad range of referral services in all specialty areas to the local urban population and surrounding areas. With just under 400 beds and around 1,700 staff, the hospital services a population of 180,000 in a catchment area including urban communities, regional hospitals, and remote Aboriginal communities.

Requirements

  • Hold Specialist registration with AHPRA
  • Possess at least 12 months recent experience as a Cardiologist
  • Hold the FRACP
  • RACP trainee approaching Fellowship
  • IMGs already assessed by RACP and found to be substantially comparable
