We are seeking a skilled Oral Health Practitioner to provide high-quality oral health services to rural and remote communities in Australia.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work for a renowned charity that has been proudly serving Australians since 1928. Our dental clinic works in collaboration with Dental Health Services Victoria (DHSV) and Australian Dental Association Victorian Branch (ADAVB) to provide oral health services to communities in need.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Accurately diagnose and plan treatment within scope of practice for the program.
  2. Provide appropriate referrals for specialist services or private services for non-eligible patients.
  3. Identify high-risk patients and manage them effectively.
  4. Maintain effective practices for sterilisation and disinfection of instruments and equipment to prevent cross-infection.
  5. Maintain and process dental records.
  6. Provide health education and promote oral hygiene.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Dental Science or a related discipline.
  • Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency with no current conditions as a Dental Practitioner.
  • Minimum of three years' clinical experience as a Dentist within Australia.
  • Availability to work a one week on and one week off roster.
  • Ability to drive in both city and country traffic conditions.
  • A commitment to excellence in the delivery of patient-focused healthcare.
  • Clinical competency in independent patient care.
