We are currently seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our team at Edward Collick Home in Kalgoorlie. This is a permanent part-time opportunity working 2 days per week, 30 hours per fortnight.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing occupational therapy services to residents within our residential care facilities, assessing their therapeutic and enrichment needs, and planning and delivering person-centered interventions to enhance their functional performance and quality of life.

This role requires exceptional organizational skills, the ability to work autonomously in a complex environment, and a commitment to delivering evidence-based occupational therapy interventions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive occupational therapy assessments to identify residents' functional capacity, strengths, and lifestyle goals.
  • Provide recommendations for resident care and develop holistic, individualized care plans in partnership with residents and their carers/advocates.
  • Deliver evidence-based occupational therapy interventions to enhance the quality of life and independence of residents.
  • Contribute to the development and monitoring of therapeutic activity programs, ensuring compliance with the Aged Care Quality and Safety Standards.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary of $83,311 per annum, based on a 0.6 FTE contract, plus superannuation, salary packaging benefits up to $18,550, and access to ongoing training and development opportunities.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess a Bachelor of Science (Occupational Therapy), current registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (APHRA), previous experience working with people living with dementia, and evidence of COVID-19 and Current 2024 Flu vaccinations.

You will also have the ability to obtain a National Police Clearance (within 6-months validity) and NDIS Screen (or willingness to obtain at interview stage). Successful completion of pre-employment physical and reference checks is also required.
