Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) professional to join our team as a Coordinator.

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing health and safety expertise to clients and supporting internal teams via account support. This is a cross-functional role that requires in-depth knowledge of HSE-related legislation and regulations.

The HSE Coordinator will review contractor HSEQ documentation and processes, communicate compliance/gaps in regard to regulatory requirements, research and develop health and safety review protocols as necessitated by legislation, perform desktop audits of health and safety programs and/or other HSE documentation, coordinate various product development and implementation initiatives, serve as a health and safety subject matter expert with prospective and existing clients, proactively analyze processes and bring forth ideas for continuous improvement, and support and participate in the organization's Continual Improvement Program to conform to ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 requirements.

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and self-directed individual who is passionate about health and safety and has excellent communication and problem-solving skills. The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety or a related field from an accredited university and/or equivalent work experience.

In addition to their technical knowledge, the successful candidate will demonstrate personal initiative, ability to work with minimal supervision, desire to assume increasing levels of leadership responsibility, ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously, excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong organizational skills and attention to detail, and ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in occupational health and safety or a related field from an accredited university and/or equivalent work experience
  • Understanding of OSHA standards, EPA regulations, related state statutes/regulations or local ordinances and ISO/Management Systems standards
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Internet Explorer

This is a full-time position that requires up to 25% travel for work. Employees must be within a commutable distance to the office and be willing to come into the office for required trainings, events, team activities, and meetings.
