Data Product Manager

We are seeking an experienced Group Product Manager to lead our Data and Intelligence division at Coles Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving the development and execution of our data product strategy, working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute the data product roadmap, aligning with business priorities and data strategy
- Lead the Product Management team, providing guidance and mentorship to ensure successful delivery of data products
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand customer needs and develop innovative solutions
- Provide input and influence on the selection and implementation of new technologies to drive business benefits
- Identify opportunities for IT contribution to business improvement and lead the implementation of solutions
- Establish strong relationships with senior stakeholders to ensure effective communication and alignment
We are looking for an experienced and proven people leader with a strong track record in managing large and complex projects in an enterprise environment. You will have excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, as well as analytical and problem-solving skills. You will also have a minimum of 8 years' experience as a product manager of data products in an agile environment.
Key skills and qualifications include:
- Minimum of 8 years' experience as a product manager of data products in an agile environment
- Demonstrated success defining and launching excellent products
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent teamwork skills
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
- Ability to guide and mentor members of the team
- Experience in leading a team, including coaching, having difficult conversations, and providing feedback
- High level of flexibility with the ability to adapt to change in a fast-paced environment
- Understanding of business intelligence and analytics applications within corporate environments
- Good understanding of retail domain
- Proven experience and proficiency in all aspects of Information Management lifecycle, data management, analytics, information governance, IM architecture, processes, technologies, and methodologies
- Experience in business change methodologies
- Ability to align business priorities with Data squad capabilities to support business transformation
- Ability to establish roadmaps to leverage Coles Information assets to deliver value that aligns with the business strategies
- Ability to attract, hire, retain, and motivate top Big Data, IM/BI/Analytics talent
- Ability to understand business and IT strategy, environment, and trends across multiple functions
- Product management, agile, and development methodologies
- Managing diverse and creating high-performing teams
- Tertiary qualification in Information Technology and/or Business or equivalent industry experience (desirable)
- Demonstrated awareness in applicable IT project management processes
- Exposure to agile tools and techniques
- Comfortable in resolving conflict and able to facilitate discussion on alternatives and different approaches
- Excellent strategic thinking with commercial acumen, stakeholder management, and strong communication skills
