About the Role

AusNet Services Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Connections Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in the successful connection of major renewable generation and load connections to our regulated electricity distribution network.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the connection process for major renewable generation and load projects, ensuring compliance with National Electricity Rules and internal processes.
  • Develop and implement strategies to accelerate growth and maximize new connection opportunities.
  • Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to identify synergies and optimize connection processes.
  • Negotiate commercial and financial terms with customers and stakeholders.
  • Communicate technical interfaces and ensure effective relationships with customers and key stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Commercially savvy mindset with experience in commercial and contract negotiations.
  • Demonstrated experience in fostering and managing relationships with customers and stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of National Electricity Rules, Chapter 5 and 5A.
  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant field, with experience in electricity networks and renewable energy disciplines.
  • Ability to lead complex technical and commercial issues, and empower project teams to solve challenging matters.
