About the Role

This critical role involves staying up-to-date with clinical practice and protocols to provide evidence-based opinions on a wide range of medical conditions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert medical opinion to support underwriting risk assessment and medical definition accuracy
  • Raise and maintain up-to-date knowledge of clinical practice and relevant clinical protocols
  • Design and deliver medical training programs to improve health capability across various organizations
  • Provide evidence-based medical insights and opportunities to support health thought-leadership within the industry and the public
Requirements
  • Previous experience as a Qualified medical practitioner, ideally with registration in Australia
  • Experience in the Life Insurance industry or health industry is preferable
  • Knowledge within medical areas, critical illnesses and/or specific health and wellbeing themes, to support pricing and product initiatives
  • Strong stakeholder management with exemplary communication skills
  • Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to take initiative, drive, and deliver strong business outcomes
  • An analytical mindset with proficiency in problem resolution
  • Ability to work in a changing environment where service and the customer experience is extremely important
