Job Description

Troocoo is seeking a seasoned Senior Health and Safety Specialist to spearhead the development and implementation of innovative health, safety, and wellbeing assurance programs within a large Queensland government organisation.

This critical role will support the delivery of complex HSW Assurance Audits, driving forward-thinking solutions that elevate organisational standards. The Senior Health and Safety Specialist will work closely with various teams across the department, contributing to the project's success.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, and monitor HSW project plans and phases, coordinating activities and resources to achieve project objectives.
  • Review data collected from existing audit processes, identifying trends and communicating rectifications with worksite staff.
  • Research issues, providing specialist advice guided by relevant WHS Legislation, Regulation Departmental Guidelines, and Australian Standards to ensure recommendations are accurate and reliable.
  • Lead consultation, communication, and coordination with other teams, contributing to the project's success.
  • Participate in action monitoring activities, reporting to the Executive HSW Committee.
  • Provide technical HSW project advice, information, and status, preparing correspondence, policy responses, speeches, articles, media releases, and briefings as required.

What We Offer:

An attractive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, commensurate with experience, reflecting the importance of this role in maintaining a safe and healthy work environment for all employees.
