Job Summary

This is a senior leadership role that requires a high level of expertise in crane and rigging operations. As a Craft Supervisor - Cranes and Rigging, you will be responsible for leading a team of professionals and overseeing the safe and efficient execution of crane and rigging activities on a project.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Supervise and direct crane and rigging activities to ensure compliance with project policies and procedures.
    • Schedule and coordinate work to be performed by the crane and rigging team.
  • Planning and Productivity
    • Determine workforce requirements and coordinate operational plans to meet project objectives.
    • Monitor and control tool and equipment usage to ensure optimal performance.
  • Safety and Quality
    • Ensure that all crane and rigging operations are conducted in accordance with safety protocols and procedures.
    • Verify that all design changes are approved prior to implementation and that all work is completed in compliance with specifications and schedules.
  • Technical Expertise
    • Interpret engineering design documents and technical specifications to ensure accurate and safe execution of crane and rigging activities.
    • Collaborate with construction field engineers, foremen, and craft professionals to develop and implement engineering solutions.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Requires a bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 8-10 years of relevant experience or 12-14 years of relevant work experience.
    • Bechtel Certified Rigging Engineer (CRE) certification is preferred.
  • Knowledge and Skills
    • Must have sound knowledge and experience in RT, all terrain and crawler cranes.
    • Advanced technical knowledge and experience in engineering in the use of lifting equipment, alternative heavy lifting systems, mobile gantries, jacking, tailing, rigging equipment, and load distribution systems.
    • Knowledge and understanding of the application and requirements of the Project Environmental, Safety & Health.
    • Knowledge of project-specific environmental compliance requirements.
Working Conditions

This is a FIFO role working 3:1 roster, based in a remote location. The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment with varying weather conditions and may be required to work at heights from work platforms, including scaffolding and mobile elevating work platforms (MEWPs).
