Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Contracts Administrator to join our team at Johns Lyng Group. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for supporting the management of building works, coordinating with trades, and ensuring compliance with legislative and contractual requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with supervisors to engage, coordinate, and manage trades during the process for building works
  • Communicate and negotiate with trades to buy down and track the progress of jobs
  • Liaise between all parties involved in the project works
  • Procurement of sub-contractors and suppliers
  • Dispute / issue resolution as required
  • Ensure all work conforms to legislative and contractual OH&S requirements
  • Ensure all inspections, certificates, and relevant documentation is signed off
  • Cost reporting
  • Assist in organising contracts, processing quotes, and updating variations
  • Ensure purchase orders and sub-contracts are sent out accurately and in a timely fashion

Requirements

  • Bachelor or Diploma in Building & Construction will be highly regarded
  • Experience in a similar role within the Construction or Insurance industry is advantageous, however not essential
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to develop strong relationships
  • Excellent time management & organisational skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Highly computer literate including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Can-do, positive attitude
  • Willingness to learn & start from the ground up in a fast-moving organisation and team
