Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate and apply standard plant design and piping engineering methods, techniques, procedures, and criteria, using independent judgment to make adaptations and modifications.
  • Plan plant and piping layouts and prepare detailed plant and piping designs and drawings for structures and portions of major plants.
  • Prepare plant design and piping designs and construction drawings using 2-D / 3-D computer-aided design (CAD), presentation graphics, and plant design models and codes.
  • Examine and analyze pipe configurations for ANSI/ASME code compliance.
  • Optimize facility layout based on piping and instrument diagrams, client requirements, current technology, and operational and maintenance requirements.
  • Participate in reviews and recommend approval of design drawings and data for compliance with requirements.
Requirements

We require a bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experience.

Strong technical knowledge of construction piping installation, hydrotesting, and pneumatic pipe testing is essential. Familiarity with Bechtel Standard Applications (BSAPs) and computer literacy in word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications are also required.

Working knowledge of applicable industry codes and standards is necessary, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving ability.

Working rights in Australia without employer sponsorship are required.
