The Austin Health Physiotherapy Department is committed to delivering exceptional patient care in a dynamic and supportive environment. As a Senior Physiotherapist, you will play a vital role in leading and contributing to the department's mission to promote the highest levels of care for our patients.

Working collaboratively with treating clinicians and the wider physiotherapy team, you will provide safe, effective, patient-centered care to acute and subacute Aged Care inpatients. This includes managing an individual clinical caseload, acting as a consultant/resource to other members of the Physiotherapy and multidisciplinary team, and providing excellent evidence-based clinical care.

You will also have the opportunity to work with the multi-disciplinary team to support effective decision-making for care planning and discharge planning, and lead workforce planning, recruitment, staff rostering, and leave management within the stream.

This role requires you to be compassionate and dedicated to providing excellent patient-centered care, with a strong focus on improving patient outcomes related to physical activity or function in a hospital or community setting.

The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 7 years of relevant clinical experience, current registration with AHPRA, and extensive clinical experience in the specialist area of acute and/or sub-acute Gerontology. They will also have demonstrated history of, and commitment to, ongoing professional development and specialization in gerontology/sub-acute rehabilitation.
