The Royal Children's Hospital (RCH) is committed to providing world-class care to our patients and families.
We are seeking a Cardiovascular Health Professional to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to provide expert care to our patients with heart failure.
As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for:
- Developing and implementing individualised care plans for patients with heart failure
- Leading staff and family education sessions to promote optimal health outcomes
- Coordinating national level transplant activations and surgical consultations for VAD implant
- Providing expert clinical consultation to our multidisciplinary team
To be successful in this role, you will require:
- A current nursing registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Paediatric cardiac/acute ICU nursing experience, preferably five years or more
- Clinical experience and knowledge of paediatric cardiac transplant nursing and VAD nursing
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal
- The ability to demonstrate flexibility to changing priorities and environment
- Well-developed management and leadership skills
- A relevant Post Graduate qualification (or working towards)
